Patient John Michael Killeen, who was hospitalized in our NICU as a newborn, came back to visit his former doctors.
still got that feeling when we used to come six years ago here. That just weird feeling in your stomach. You know, it's even though it's a good thing. Hey was admitted after birth because he was born premature. Mom went into preterm labor and there we confirmed the diagnosis of co rotation of the order. That's what the narrowing of the order is called. It was amazing. I mean, we started with journey while I was still pretty. It wasn't just one doctor, it was Team A and it was they were ready for him to be born waiting because, you know, they found issues early with the ultrasound and Dr Ralf insurgents came put him on the schedule. He could not be operated immediately because he was premature. So you had to wait, uh, for the better part of two months before he was operated on. And you made a very nice recovery that gave us a book when they did it. Thio how to mend a broken heart just before the surgery. So, you know, that's what I'm trying to concentrate on while he's having surgery. And I said one day he'll know that he had a broken heart and, you know, obviously he has a scar and you know, that's what it's from so way save that Thio to just remind him he has this rare genetic condition called Kabuki syndrome. And he requires a lot of support for his medical needs is well, as his neurodevelopmental needs. And fortunately, all this could be provided within the campus here. But it's awesome to be able to bring him back and let him talk to the doctors, can see everything and experience it. Tell him Thank you. You're welcome. Thank you for fixing my heart. Since you know, he you see these kids that they have every reason in the world to wake up unhappy because they're in pain or they have this or they have that. And he wakes up with a smile every day and goes to sleep with a smile Painter Hey is the happiest little boy you'll ever be. And it's kind of nice. He changes. The rules are a bit like everybody could be like that. This place would be a much better place. You wanna give me a flu shot? Oh, thank you. That was nice.
