Chapters Transcript Video Homegrown Faculty at UC Davis School of Medicine - Dr. Kevin Mullins there are so many reasons I've chosen to remain here at U. C. Davis throughout all of my training. 13 years undergraduate medical school and residency. All done right here in AGI Nation and for for more reasons than one, I think that they provide excellent teaching in the classroom, providing the core for the fundamentals of medical knowledge. Um But what really sets you see Davis apart is the teaching that they do outside of the traditional classroom, whether it be participating in one of the many student run clinics working in a cadaver lab which is not found at every school um or providing a summer abroad programs to serve the underserved community outside of the sacramento region, there are just ample opportunities to ensure that you are not just a smart clinician from a book standpoint but really you're well rounded and prepared to serve your community. You don't become number four in the nation and diversity for for no reason I really believe that the longstanding commitment, the programs that have been developed here at U. C. Davis, the pipeline that is continuing to evolve away from the undergraduate level to medical school residency and faculty physicians. That really creates a culture of inclusion. That I am very proud to be a part of. I'm slightly biased because I did all my training here. I really think that you can't go wrong at U. C. Davis and no matter who you are, where your family is from, what language was your first. I think you're going to find a home here at UC Davis a place that again really promotes inclusion, diversity and equity. So no matter what that aspiration might be, that dream you might have. Do you know that if you come here to U. C. Davis, you'll have our full support to continue to thrive and do so well in your career as a position. Mhm. Right. Created by
