Chapters Transcript Video Soccer stars ‘assist’ an atrial septal defect recovery Visits by Sacramento Republic FC players cheer up UC Davis patients like Georgie Paredes some of our kids. They tend Thio. They're fearful to get out of bed for fear of pain or doing something wrong. And so whenever you can sort of take them out of that element and give them a little special treat, that's just there's, uh, something that's very special to them. They kind of let go of the surgery that's just happened and the fear that they have. And they branch out there able to actually get up and walk around and they realize, Oh, I can do this and it doesn't hurt and and so it really helps their recovery speed right along.
